In recent years we had two emerging trends in the CI field:
a) There are innovative - never thought of - ways to analyze the marketplace through the automation of processes. This can be done by new innovative technological solutions.

b) The other trend is linked to the increasing globalization (see also Thomas Friedmans "The World Is Flat"). Parts of or the whole CI process can be outsourced to third party vendors from your home-country or to India, China or elsewhere.

In this expert talk session a number of issues will be discussed:

  • Automation - where are the limits?
  • Real time intelligence - is it possible - and useful?
  • What are the benefits of outsourcing CI work?
  • Help! My job will be outsourced/replaced
  • What CI tasks shall I outsource to local vendors, to off-shore vendors, which tasks can be automated, which tasks shall I keep in-house?

The discussion should be of interest to practitioners, and consultants interested in the latest developments in CI.

Expert talks are interactive panel discussions, where the facilitator engages the audience with his experts (panellists). Experts are either invitees from the speakers, conference participants or exhibitors. After a short introduction from the facilitator the experts are asked to set the stage with a candid initial statement.

Expert sessions are designed to provide you with an opportunity to exchange experiences with colleagues and to address CI issues not covered in depth during the session presentations! Be prepared to contribute actively and passionately - or simply enjoy the high calibre exchange of CI best practices.
